Nutrition Minor


Nutrition senior Paige Duhl presents her project at the Tennessee Dietetic Association annual meeting in Nashville, March 2006.  She and Sara Bliss were enrolled in the Honors Program at UT and their joint project involved development of nutrition education materials and a nutrition seminar for pregnant and lactating women at the Lisa Ross Birth and Women’s Center in Knoxville.

 

The Nutrition Minor requires completion

of  the  following Nutrition   courses

with a  grade of “C”

or  better.   All perequisites must

also be completed in order to enroll in the respective  courses.

 

              

               NTR 100: Introductory Nutrition

               NTR 302: Life Span Nutrition (prerequisite: NTR 100)

               NTR 310: Physiological Chemistry (prerequisites: Chem 120-130 and

                        either Biol 130-140 or BCMB 230)

               NTR 313: Vitamins & Minerals (prerequisites: NTR 310, Chem 350)

               NTR 314: Energy Metabolism & Metabolic Integration (prerequisites:                         NTR 310, Chem 350)
